2017 in Review. Happy Christmas from Omni Search!

Our Year Has Been Packed! Here’s What We Got Up To in 2017

Looking back on the year we’ve had makes us realise just how much we’ve been up to. From securing some amazing new clients, to creating handfuls of responsive WordPress sites. This year we’ve tried to really push ourselves and keep growing! We’ve got some new staff members on board, which mean we’ve been able to add to our list of services, all while staying true to our SEO focus.

Our top moments in 2017 were varied. We’re proud of the websites we’ve built, blogs we’ve featured on and brands we’ve worked with. Which moment of ours from 2017 stood out most to you?

January

In January, our director Graham was fortunate enough to be invited to the brand new Google and Youtube HQ in London. As part of our ongoing SEO work with our PPC partners Fountain, Graham got the invitation to attend the new offices. We were “honoured to be invited to Google and experience the inner workings of one of the most successful companies in the world”, especially as an SEO agency. This was a truly unique experience for Omni Search and definitely one of our top moments of 2017.

March

We often submit our blogs to third party sites so that we get to share our digital marketing knowledge around. In March, one of our blog posts was picked as a top feature on Articles Base. The blog was an all you need to know guide on social media for business and how to get the most out of it. It obviously proved helpful as the article got well over 1000 views.

April

We love to be transparent with our current and prospective clients, and that includes showing them where we work. We’re pretty proud of our office and quirky Star Wars decorations we seem to have accumulated over the years. As such, we decided we wanted people to be able to view our office in full 360 degrees. So, in April, we launched our 360 view of our office. All you have to do is Google search us, and you’re able to see where all the digital marketing magic happens.

July

One of our biggest website builds to date went live in July. The massive multilingual Travel and Leisure Group website. Travel and Leisure Group are the oldest timeshare broker in Europe. They needed a massive website that was available in 10 different languages! This was no easy feat, but the website is up and looking spectacular – bringing a modern edge to the trusted 25-year-old company. We continue to work with Travel and Leisure writing content for them. If you need to know anything about travel or timeshare, they’re the best.

October

Writing guest blog posts is always fun. In October we got to write a post for business and entrepreneur publication Talk Business. Knowing how the Christmas rush can affect sites that are ill-prepared, we wrote a post on how to prepare your e-commerce site for it!  Get your social media strategy on point. Post and increase brand awareness, and make sure your website design is fast and functional as well as appearing on the first page of SERPs.

December

December saw us feature in an expert roundup of predicted SEO trends for 2018. We love being asked for our opinion on SEO trends, especially when we’re called in as an expert! In summary, we said that the trends to watch out for in SEO 2018 would be optimising content for voice search and the introduction of mobile first indexing. We also predicted that slow loading videos affecting site speed would be one of the things to go!
