Following on from a successful Summer 2016 collab. KAWS x Uniqlo are back again.
Well, isn’t KAWS just the man of the hour. With the press still buzzing about his collaboration with Jordan brand, including some much-desired premium grey suede Jordan IV’s, KAWS has just revealed a new collaborative project.
After a sell-out collection with Uniqlo in summer 2016, KAWS (aka Brian Donnelly) is working with Uniqlo once again on an exclusive collaboration. With accessible price points, and garments for men, women and children, this is set to be another sell out. Not content with producing simply another KAWS for Uniqlo collection, this time Donnelly is bringing in some other characters. Characters he has redesigned before; the cast of Peanuts.
KAWS broke the news on Instagram, posting an image of Snoopy propped up against the Japanese retailer Uniqlos’ logo wearing signature “X” marked sunglasses and a yellow “Joe KAWS” t-shirt. The epitome of cool. As well as Snoopy, other characters from Peanuts will also feature in the collaboration. Charlie Brown, Woodstock and more can be found in the new collection.
The collection is 26 pieces strong and alongside the apparel for adults and children it also features tote bags, slippers and plush toys. The plush toy was revealed on Instagram by Nigo who is Uniqlos’ Creative Director. They are supposed to retail at £12 and £32 USD for the various sizes. We are desperate for one in our office!
For those interested in copping, here’s the price list as a little insight into what you’re looking at paying. For a collector’s piece, as these no doubt will end up, the prices are really reasonable.
Pricing List:
Adult T-shirts: £12
Kids T-shirts: £8
Plush Toys: £16-£32
Tote Bags: £12
Room Shoes: £16
If the previous collection is anything to go by, this collection will be in high demand too. The collaborative effort goes live on the Uniqlo site and in store on the 28th April.
